Relentless Nass 2010

We at Urbanz HQ love an excuse to get out-and-about,  attending events where we can meet a number of public and talk about headphones, our favourite thing in the world! We sent Jimmy, the new webmaster of the Urbanz site to check out Relentless Nass 2010 and find out what the people think of Urbanz headphones. Oh, and to give away freebie headphones out to those that showed genuine interest in what Urbanz represent! We are nice people at Urbanz aren't we?!

On entrance to the festival, he came across Linda who was very intrigued as to why one of his backpacks was full of Urbanz earphones and some Block headphones. After some deliberation and a thorough search, the lovely Linda allowed Jimmy boy through if he gave her some pink studs. So naturally, he took a photo of the transaction!

Now safely in the event with a backpack full of headphones, Jimmy was poached by those at Fenchurch with a beer promotion. Thomas was wearing Nixon headphones and bemoaned that they were fragile and "a bit bland". On agreement that a beer + freebies for headphones deal was going to go through, headphones were issued there and then. Jimmy is still waiting for his beer from Fenchurch, despite being "chuffed" with his fridge magnet. Thomas and Julie (sporting the pink Vibe on ear headphones below) were seen 2 days later walking around the amusements listening to music on their Urbanz headphones.



Urbanz spent a considerable amount of time in corporate public relations area where Nike 6.0, Loaded and Vitamin Water were plugging big time. All in the name of research, nothing to do with the free give-a-ways that Jimmy ended getting! The Nike promo people were inquisitive as to why he had a mahoosive clipboard with questionnaires. After discussing what the Urbanz brand represents and our vision for the future, the Nike 6.0 guys were very interested in the headphones and wanted to discuss the market area in depth. Their feedback was spot on. Nice people and extremely generous! Thanks for the massive towel!





Friday evening, the Loaded Silent Disco tent was the place of choice. A concept which includes headphones so we at Urbanz obviously like that! Jimmy and uni friend Ben bopped away to Snoop Doggy Dog, The Killers, Foo Fighters, Pendulum, N*E*R*D and even some Delerium. The joys of being able to pick and choose the music!



The next morning, banter was flying with nearby campers as they thought it was acceptable to play music at 4.55 in the morning as it was light! "Stop being old"! "Never have I felt so old!" (Jimmy, Urbanz webmaster, aged 23 years).



"I like your headphones blud" was yelped from the chap with the funky glasses below. Not sure if  'blud' is good or bad, but he liked the headphones so nice opportunity to give them some colourful studs. Yes, the 'Block Headphones' were out of stock by this point.



Oh, and he did watch some BMX action...



All in all, an enjoyable weekend at the Relentless Nass festival. Plenty of research was partaken. Now a slightly tired Jimmy has the joys of culminating the data.
